Eric Johnson, II
OWNER & FOUNDER
Born and raised in Baltimore, Eric’s passion for architecture and community development was shaped early by the city’s historic character and by family values rooted in the belief that it takes a village to uplift a community. He earned a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. With more than 18 years of experience in federal operations, private sector development, and community-focused work, he has managed major commercial projects nationwide while keeping his revitalization efforts centered in Baltimore through mixed-use and affordable housing initiatives. His approach prioritizes restoring distressed neighborhoods without displacement, supporting tenants, and expanding opportunities for underrepresented communities. Through partnerships with local organizations, he combines technical skill with a deep commitment to community empowerment.
Educational Background
B.S. in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, with minors in project management and structural engineering. Graduated with honors and was actively involved in multiple engineering societies and leadership programs. Continues professional development through specialized education and industry workshops to stay at the forefront of sustainable development practices.

Over 18 years in architectural design, project management, and construction development, managing projects leading project teams with 8-figure budgets both federal government and private sector. Has overseen numerous high-profile developments across the nation, specializing in commercial, mixed-use properties and affordable housing initiatives. Known for delivering projects on time and under budget while maintaining exceptional quality standards and sustainable building practices.
Community Focus
Dedicated to developing distressed communities into vibrant neighborhoods without displacement, while educating others through mentorship and knowledge sharing. Actively partners with local community organizations, schools, and workforce development programs to create pathways to architectural, real estate and construction careers for underrepresented youth and adults. Participates on multiple non-profit organizations focused on economic development and affordable housing, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and community sensitivity to each project undertaken.

Chanel C. Johnson
OWNER & FOUNDER
Chanel C. Johnson grew up in Bridgeport, CT and received her Bachelors of Fine Art from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of Arts. She works as an artist and lives by a strong belief that art is a vehicle to connect people. She has exhibited throughout the region, as well as internationally. In Sao Paulo, for example, she exhibited at the Museo Afro Brasil. Currently, she lives and creates art in Baltimore, Maryland.
Chanel 's work brings life, character, and purpose to the spaces people call home. As the founder of Art By Chanel LLC, she creates original artwork and design concepts that help transform properties into vibrant, welcoming environments that reflect creativity, culture, and inspiration.
Her work is centered on the belief that art should be part of everyday living. Through carefully curated pieces, custom installations, and thoughtful design, Chanel helps turn ordinary rooms into spaces that feel warm, personal, and memorable. Her artistic style is influenced by storytelling, community, and the idea that the places where we live should inspire us.
Chanel’s artwork has become a defining element of many redevelopment projects throughout Baltimore, where she works alongside development teams to reimagine vacant and underutilized properties. By incorporating original art into each project, she helps create homes and gathering spaces that stand apart from traditional renovations and offer a unique experience for residents and visitors alike.

Tawana Tiller
EXECUTIVE PROPERTY MANAGER
Born and raised in Baltimore City, Tawana Tiller serves as Executive Property Manager for ERJ Development LLC. She brings decades of experience in business ownership, customer relations, and operations management, along with a strong commitment to serving residents and communities throughout Baltimore.
For most of her adult life, Tawana has been an entrepreneur, owning and managing several salons and small businesses. Through these ventures, she developed a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and building lasting relationships. Her experience managing people, operations, and customer needs has provided a strong foundation for her leadership role at ERJ Development.
As Executive Property Manager, Tawana oversees property operations and resident relations across the company's portfolio. She works closely with residents to ensure properties are well maintained, concerns are addressed promptly, and tenants receive the level of service and attention they deserve.
Tawana believes that successful property management is built on trust, communication, and consistency. She takes pride in creating positive experiences for residents and fostering communities where people feel comfortable, respected, and at home. Her knowledge, leadership, and dedication continue to support ERJ Development's commitment to providing quality housing and strengthening neighborhoods throughout Baltimore City.
